Legal Awareness Project

AIWEFA implemented a two year programme sponsored by Ford Foundation in 1999. The project involved three phases:-

1) Training of the master trainers at the AIWEFA office.
2) Training of peer educators at Gurgaon
3) Teaching at grassroots level by master trainers and peer educators in 19 centres covering 18 villages in Nuh and Farrukh Nagar blocks of district Gurgaon, Haryana.

The training programme included teaching of class management skills and effective use of teaching aids like puppets, flash cards etc. including screening of video tapes and putting up live performances /plays on legal issues.





Directory – on Common Ground

With a view to foster linkages between NGOs and donor agencies concerned with women’s issues, a Second Edition of the "Directory on Common Ground" was brought out by AIWEFA in 2004. It listed over 1700 organisations & over 1100 copies in English and over 400 copies in Hindi were published.
