AIWEFA Platinum Jubilee Award

AIWEFA found a person, who had made an outstanding contribution to remove drudgery for women, for their one time ” Lifetime Achievement AIWEFA Platinum Jubilee Award” in Mr. Bindeshwar Pathak, Founder Sulabh International Social Service Organisation. Mr. Pathak is an icon of the sanitation movement not only in India but also in the entire world who has made a difference in the lives of millions and millions of people. He is a crusader for restoration of human rights and dignity to abject scavengers. The Sulabh Sanitation Movement is translating the dreams of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar by its painstaking efforts. It has apparently changed the thought and behaviour of the people towards sanitation and the scavenging system. It has played a pioneering role in promoting sanitation and healthcare to ensure good life, especially for the poor and the disadvantaged.

Scholarships

AIWEFA also awards two scholarships, Raj Rani Scholarship and Padmini Scholorship to the students of Lady Irwin College every year.
