AIWEFA Stree Ratna Memorial Awards


2005 :
Smt. Satya Rani Chaddha and Smt. Shahjahan Appa were jointly awarded the “AIWEFA Stree Ratna Award-2005” for their efforts to fight the tyranny of dowry. They also set up “Shakti Shalini” and “Crime Against Women Cell” in Delhi to help women in crisis situations and provide them a shelter.



2006:
Smt. Suvidha Yadav, Sarpanch in Aakklimpur Panchayat, Nimrana, District Alwar, Rajasthan, was awarded “AIWEFA Stree Ratna Award-2006” for her relentless efforts against child marriage, dowry system, sati-pratha, mrityubhoj, and alcoholism.



AIWEFA Nina Sibal Awards

AIWEFA administering the Nina Sibal Award for an NGO working on disability, with the endowment made by Shri Kapil Sibal, then Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Science & Technology & Earth Sciences, in memory of his late wife Smt. Nina Sibal. The award is to encourage organisations which are managing and educating disabled and disadvantaged children through innovative methods
