1. In June 2004 Ms. Asha chandra represented the Girl Child of India at the Beyond Beijing Consultation held at Lalitpur in Nepal. This was a precursor to the Bangkok Regional Meeting and the Commission on the Status of Women 49th Session at New York in 2005. UNICEF and India Alliance for Child Rights partner, Women’s Coalition were the sponsors.
2. AIWEFA Geneva representative Ms. Dinky Katoch was mentioned in the acknowledgement by Conchita Poncini President, Geneva NGO Commission on the Status of Women for effectively coordinating the organization of the forum.
3. In March 2005 Dr. Sarala Gopalan presented the case of Indian Women at the 49th. Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) at UN headquarter, in New York.
4. Ms. Veena Singh represented AIWEFA at International Conference, Gender Mainstreaming and MDGs 28th – 30th March 2005, Islamabad, Pakistan.
5. Mrs. Veena Singh represented AIWEFA for High Level Segment meeting on 29th June – 1 July 2005; she was appointed one of the four rapporteurs for the UN NGO IRENE meeting in Tunisia.

National
1. India Alliance for Child Rights (IACR), of which AIWEFA is a charter founder member, is active at the international level with the Child Rights Committee and UNICEF and at the national level with the NGO recommendations towards the National Plan of Action and National Policy.
2. In association with Paramount Insurance, AIWEFA is encouraging Health Insurance for poor women and their families in rural and urban areas.
3. To celebrate World Environment Day, “Wanted! Seas and Oceans Dead or Alive” participation by Ms. Chandra
4. One-day interim Dialogue on Women Legislation Coordination and European Union by Dr. Ranjana Kumari, CSR.
5. Informal meeting with Mr. Peter Zoller, Programme Manager, Gangtok, Shillong and South Asia Region for sanitation programme.
6. Meetings with India Women’s Watch in preparation to the CSW 2005 were held at AIWC.

12. An Exhibition of Paintings by SUBH at Triveni Gallery.
13. A seminar ‘ Partnership of Women in Politics’ organised by Dr. Susheela Kaushik
14. ‘Social Setting of learning’ by Prof. Alice Schlegel Anthropologist.
15. Indo Swiss Bhaichara Council Conference organised a workshop on Solar Water Disinfections.
16. A programme to felicitate the China Delegation was organised by AIWC.
17. Institute Of International Social Development, Kolkata organized a two day meet of the High Level team from the United Nations Procurement Division, Un Headquarters, New York, USA to Kolkata on “How to do Business with the UN’ for the Indian Industrialists. Ms. Veena singh was made the meet Ambassador of this event in the capacity of being the Convenor, UN NGO IRENE.
18. The Launch of the UN Millennium Project Report in Feb, 2005 and release by Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs, special advisor to the UN Secretary- General, Kofi Annan on the Millennium Development Goals and Director of the UN Millennium Project along with Professor M.S. Swaminathan, Chairman, National Commission on Farmers and Co- Chair, UNMDG Task Force on Hunger.
19. One-day workshop on the “Role of Women in Political Decision Making” at AIWC.
20. Five training programme on Sanitary Napkin organized by Shriram Institute for Industrial Research, Delhi.
